Martin Scorsese on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Kenneth Branagh too

Two nights in a row Martin Scorsese!  Tonight Scorsese was on Jimmy Kimmel live and I had to go since the guy is one of my favorite directors of all time and The Departed is my favorite movie of all time.   So I had to go get more of him even though I just got six from him last night when I drove to Santa Barbara.

Kenneth Branagh was also on Kimmel and he showed up first and signed.  I got him on two 11x14s of him as Professor Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter.

Then it was Scorsese time!!!!!  I got three from him today.  One boxing glove because of Raging Bull and two 11x14s: one of The Departed poster shot already signed by Wahlberg and a three person shot of him, Damon, and Leo ( Now I just gotta add Leo and Damon to it ).

Please stay in LA for longer Mr. Scorsese I need more!

Martin Scorsese honored at Santa Barbara Film Fest

Martin Scorsese is in New York more than LA so when I heard he was being honored in Santa Barbara I decided it was worth it to drive the hour and a half to try to get him.  I was really hoping some of his famous friends might show up . . . maybe Chloe Moretz or Asa Butterfield . . . maybe Leo . . . because getting any of them would just be icing on the cake.

Well after the hour and a half drive I got there and they were setting up.  I talked to some of the people in charge and they said originally Leonardo DiCaprio was supposed to be there . . . but then he cancelled and they replaced him with Ben Kingsley.  I would have preferred Leo but I'll take Sir Ben.
After a few hours of waiting, arrivals began and Sir Ben was the first to show.  He signed and was very closely looking at everyone's faces as he did it.  I got him to sign my Hugo 12x18 and he asked me if I had seen the movie.

Martin Scorsese was in the next car about five minutes later, and he was great about signing.  I had to maneuver through the crowd to get him at multiple areas and ended up getting six from him: two 12x18s and four 11x14s.

We waited three hours until the event was over and both Sir Ben and Scorsese went right to their cars without signing on the way out.  That made the drive home at 1:00am a bit sucky, but walking away with six Scorsese autographs is still a pretty awesome day.

Luck Premiere: Kit Harington, Freddie Roach, and more

HBO is launching a new show called Luck which stars Dustin Hoffman, and they had the premiere for it on Hollywood Blvd on Wednesday night.   I decided it would be way more beneficial to go for the "walkers" at the premiere than the stars of show.  (Definition: Walkers are celebrities who are not in a show or movie but want to see it so they come and watch the premiere as a spectator)

I had a good feeling that other HBO talent would come to the premiere as walkers and boy was I right.   Unfortunately I did not have my camera along with me so I am forced to settle for a few cell phone pictures and a few pictures friends sent me.

The first to come through was Lindsay Pulsipher and I added her to my True Blood cast 11x14.

Next to come was Shaun Toub and I added him to my second Lost cast 11x14 and started a new one too.

Next was Charles Esten and I know him as Josh Porter in The Office so I quickly pulled out my new Office cast 11x14 and added him to it.

Brian Van Holt came and I added him my cast Black Hawk Down 11x14 signed by Jason Isaacs.

Rex Lee came through next and I had a combo 11x14 of him and Ari, Rex signed it for me.

Then came Chris Bauer who is probably most known for his role of True Blood as Andy Bellefleur, but I was recently introduced to The Wire and just finished season 2 where he is a crucial character, Frank Sobotka. I added him to my Wire cast 11x14 already signed by Glenn Thurman.  My buddy commented to Chris that The Wire is his favorite show on TV and Chris said it was his too.

Next was a surprise, Freddie Roach the famous boxing trainer who trains Manny Pacquiao and many others.  We were not expecting him and I was disappointed in myself because I have a 11x14 signed by Pacquiao that needs Freddie to be complete, but I left it at home.  We called Freddie over, but someone gave him a dead sharpie so I got his crappy index card.

Then the grand prize came through. Kit Harington is a major role on Game of Thrones and we were really hoping someone from Game of thrones would come.  He walked right past me on the crowded sidewalk but after he was passed me I caught the back of his head and called him.  He is rare, but is really nice.  He signed five 11x14s for me and took a picture with as well.
(I sent the signed 11x14s to PSA to get authenticated and forgot to take a picture I'll post one when I get them back)

I took a big gamble after the premiere.  The after party was to the right of the theatre but the parking lot was to the left of the theatre.  I really wanted Freddie Roach to sign a boxing glove I keep in my car, so I made the decision to wait to the left of the theatre hoping he would skip the after party and go directly home.   I got lucky.  He came out of the theatre and walked right over to me on his way to his car.  I got him on my glove and got a picture with him.

Great night.

Sarah Hyland and Cuba Gooding Jr on Jimmy Kimmel Live

On Wednesday I graphed the Luck premiere and conveniently Jimmy Kimmel Live tapes on the same block so I was able to double dip on events.   I got both guests: Sarah Hyland and Cuba Gooding Jr to sign autographs for me.  I didn't have my camera along today so all I got was a few cell phone pictures.

Cuba signed and I wasn't able to get a picture of him but I did add him to my Jerry Maguire 11x14 cast photo that I had Jonathan Lipnicki sign back in December.  Cuba did not however yell "Show me the Money" at the top of his lungs as I was hoping he might do.
Sarah Hyland came out and went to town signing.  I had 3 photos along for her, one 8x10 and two 11x14s and she signed them all no problem.  She has always been extremely nice.  A few months back at an Emmy party she climbed up some stairs barefoot to sign a few photos for me (her heals were uncomfortable).

Jodi Lyn O'Keefe launches jewelry line: Kaley Cuoco, John Cusack, and more

On Monday I skipped the Man on a Ledge premiere because I didn't feel like fighting the thousands who show up for a Hollywood Blvd premiere.  Instead, I went to the launch of Jodi Lynn O'Keefe's jewelry line.  The biggest reason I went was Kaley Cuoco who is really good friends with Jodi.  I have had mixed results with Kaley, sometimes she signs up a storm and other times she has blown me off.  Luckily tonight was a night she signed up a storm.

Kaley signed ten 11x14s for me, and was really nice about it.  The security guard behind her was taking things entirely too seriously though and as you can see in my picture.

My buddy needed a picture with Kaley so he had me take it.
John Cusack is Jodi's boyfriend and he showed up too.  I had him sign a baseball and WOW does he have a nice signature. Look at the this intricate cursive lettering behing John Cusack's name:
The above description was of course sarcasm. John has one of the ugliest signatures out there.

Kunal Nayyar showed up and he is really cool.  I needed him on two cast 11x14s and he signed them both no problem.  The 11x14 on the left only needs Parson, and the 11x14 on the right needs Parsons, Galecki, and Helberg.
Mary Carey showed up and signed a few autographs.
Cameron Richardson showed up too and I had her sign two 11x14s for me.

Lastly Jodi left the event and I had one 11x14 along and got it done no problem.

Kaley definitely made my night though.

The DID NOT SIGN LIST included: No one. Everyone who showed up signed.
