Rosario Dawson! Autographs! Photos!

Rosario Dawson was out last month and I had some photos left over from an event over a year ago when she didn't show up, so I figured I should get them signed.  Rosario has always been one of the nicest female celebrities in Hollywood.  She seems really down to earth and spending time with the fans has always been a high priority for her.  She signed my four 11x14s and two 8x10s, and nothing makes me happier than getting unsigned photos I've had for over a year signed.  Thank you Rosario.

House of Cards. The Best Show on TV.

Since Breaking Bad went off the air I've been feverishly searching for the next great tv show.  I have watched pilot episodes for so many new shows and have generally been disappointed by all of them.

I was really pumped for Frank Darabont's new show Mob City. I loved the first season of Walking Dead so I was expecting his new show Mob City to be equally great.  It was ok, but it was not great.

Second I thought Black Sails might be the next great show.  I liked the first episode, but nothing has happened since.  Nothing.  They have been planning and talking about doing something, while doing nothing, for four weeks now.  Hopefully the show picks up but after four episodes I have been disappointed.

Thirdly I tried True Detective.  I will admit, this show has me intrigued.  I really like the performances of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.  It has some serious potential.  But so far the show is rather dark and I think it lacks the humor and light moments necessary in a truly great show.

Well on February 14th Netflix started streaming Season Two of House of Cards, and I am happy to say I have found the next great show.  My Breaking Bad void has been satiated by House of Cards.    I already really liked House of Cards after season one, but season two hit me like a ton of bricks.  I plowed through the whole 13 episode season in a weekend.  And it left me satisfied.  The writing is amazing, the direction is fantastic, Robin Wright and Kevin Spacey will likely be locks for Emmys for years to come.  I would even argue the Netflix streaming format is the most convenient method to watch a tv show that exists.  Everything about House of Cards is good. Go watch it people! Immediately!  If you don't have a Netflix account, go get one.   You will not regret it.

And also. . . here are some pics of the cast signing at the Season 2 premiere in Hollywood:

If Frank Underwood were a real politician I would vote for him

Robin Wright is perfect for her role as Claire Underwood, the cold calculating ruthless politician's wife.

Naive Zoe Barnes played by Kate Mara

Constance Zimmer plays the reporter hellbent on exposing corruption

Molly Parker takes on a huge role in Season 2

Sam Page plays Claire's communications director in season 2.

Jayne Atkinson plays Catherine Durant who seems to be ready to ride the wake of Frank Underwood to the top

And Gil Birmingham who finds himself at odds with Frank in season two.

GO WATCH THIS SHOW PEOPLE!!!!!

Amy Adams from Man of Steel and American Hustle

If you haven't seen American Hustle yet check it out.  It's a good fun movie and Amy Adams and Christian Bale are both great it in.  I saw Amy recently and she signed some autographs for the fans.  She's usually pretty nice and it was the same on this night.   I got her on a Lois Lane shot and a couple photo shoot type shots, all 11x14.

Cheese from The Wire! Method Man!

Calvin "Cheese" Wagstaff from The Wire! I love the show and it's always great to meet anyone from the cast.  Well I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Method Man this month and this guy could not have been nicer.  He chilled with us for a solid ten minutes and we talked about The Wire, how he got his role (he auditioned for it, and said every acting gig he's gotten he has auditioned for).  We talked about the rap game.  We even talked about which current tv shows he likes.  He said Game of Thrones is like a slow burn that grows on you, versus Dexter which had him hooked in the first thirty seconds.  And who knew . . . his guilty pleasure is Battlestar Galactica.   The guy could not have been cooler.  I got my two individual Cheese 11x14s signed and added him to my The Wire Cast piece in silver too.
My cast piece has: Method Man, Michael Kenneth Williams, Chris Bauer, Andre Royo, and Glynn Thurman on it

Divergent Theo James & Shailene Woodley Autographs Photos

Divergent stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley were out in Hollywood recently and I'm intrigued about the movie so I decided it would be good to get some autographs.  Shailene was really nice and friendly and seemed to handle the craziness of the crowd well.  Theo was nice, but didn't quite seem as accustomed to dealing with fans.  It was a last minute thing so all I had was a couple Theo James 8x10s and a The Spectacular Now 11x14, and Theo and Shailene signed them.

Here is the theatrical trailer for Divergent if you're interested:
