There was a Screen Actors party this week and I went to get some autographs. I ended up getting a lot signed, so without further adieu here it is:
Timothee Chalamet plays Finn Walden on Homeland (the hit and run son of the VP Walden). This was my first time meeting him and he could not have been cooler. He was so happy we asked for this autograph and took pictures with anyone who asked. I like young up and comers who act like this.
When Timothee signed this he said, "Hopefully Morgan signs this for you too". Well she didn't. Morgan Saylor apparently wants no part of signing or interacting with fans. I may never get her based on how she acted on this night.
But Morgan's onscreen brother Jackson Pace was really cool. I added him to my cast piece and he added his character name.
Same with Diego Klattenhoff. He seemed like a really nice down to earth dude. I added him to my cast piece.
David Harewood however, took some serious convincing to sign. But after some serious calling he proceeded to come over and sign his name . . . directly on Claire Dane's face on my cast piece. Well played David, well played.
Here's my cast piece. It has (by character name): Brody, Estes, Mike, Chris, Virgil, Nazir, and Finn on it.
Then a few Argo cast members came through. Kerry Bishe signed and I got her on two 11x14 individuals, and I started an Argo cast piece and put her on it.
I also added Chris Denham to my cast piece.
And Rory Cochrane was well.
I also got Tate Donovan on it but forgot to take a signing picture. Here's the cast piece, I have four of the six house guests on it:
A couple Downton Abbey people were in town and I got Amy Nuttall on a couple individual 11x14s.
And I also got Sophie McShera on a couple individual 11x14s.
And I got both Amy and Sophie on a cast 11x14:
A couple people from The Office showed up too, I got Meredith Palmer aka Kate Flannery on an individual 8x10 and added her to my cast piece I've been working on for over a year.
BJ Novak is not easy to get an autograph from. He came and I was the only one calling him. All I had was my cast 11x14 and one individual 8x10. He came over signed the 8x10 and then dropped the sharpie on the photo without signing my cast piece. Weak.
Creed Bratton on the other hand is really nice. Yes his real name is also his character name on The Office. He came right over when I called and signed two individual 8x10s and my cast 11x14.
Here's my cast piece. It's has (starting top right and working clockwise): David Koechner (Todd Packer), Cloris Leachman, Kate Flannery (Meredith), David Denman (Roy), Oscar Martinez (Oscar), Charles Estes (Josh Porter), Creed Bratton, Mindy Kaling (Kelly), and Angela Kinsey (Angela), and Brian Baumbartner (Kevin) on it.
Rashida Jones and Aziz Anzari showed up at the same time and I quickly pulled out my Parks and Recreation cast 11x14 that has Amy Poehler on it and had both of them sign it.
But by far and away the greatest thing I got this whole night was a picture. The party was on a street with traffic and as Rashida and Aziz were signing for me a van pulled up right behind them and came to a stop in the middle of street. I look up to see four faces packed into one window staring intently at Rashida and Aziz. Sounds of "ewww" and "who is it?" came from the van. I said out loud, "That's amazing! I gotta get this picture" and the little dude with braced heard me and threw the thumbs up in the air and gave his best Blue Steel Zoolander model pose. Respect kid, respect.
Patrick J Adams from Suits came and I got him on an 11x14.
Jackie Weaver also came and I put her on a Silver Linings Playbook poster shot.
I was pretty happy about this one, Steven Michael Quezeda has been on 28 episodes of my favorite show, Breaking Bad. I've never seen him before so I was really happy to get his autograph on a BB cast 11x14.
Maria Menounos showed up came over quickly and signed my one 11x14 I had.
Then I had a funny encounter with Angie Harmon. I saw her and walked up to her with my photo hidden, and said "Angie can you sign an autograph?" she said sure and then I brought out my photo of her in nothing but a thong. He laughed and gave me shit about the photo for a while but signed it for me.
I have never seen Nathan Fillion be in this good of a signing mood. He is usually pretty strict on one each when you see him in Los Angeles. But tonight he didn't care and just signed anything you put in front of him. I got three from him and he even wrote his character name on one when I asked.
Aaron Paul showed up. He goes to almost every party in LA. I had one 11x14 along and he signed it.
Simon Helberg came and I put him on a cast 11x14 from The Big Bang Theory. I now have two of these that just need Jim Parsons. And I've had the other one for about two years. Jim Parsons will you please sign some autographs some time in the next couple years. Please.
