Captain America Winter Solider Premiere

If someone were to just read my blog posts they might think that I am always successful when I go out for autographs.  That every event I go to, I get every person I want.  But that is anything but the case.  Often times my results are downright awful, but usually when those awful events happen I don't feel like taking the time to write a blogpost about them.  Well I had one of those awful events at the Captain America Winter Soldier premiere.

Here is who I did not get:  I did not get Chris Evans.  I did not get Scarlett Johansson.  I did not get Samuel L Jackson.  I did not get Emily VanCamp.  I did not get Anthony Mackie.  And I did not get Stan Lee or Robert Redford (who both did not attend the premiere).

In other words . . . the premiere was a general disappointment.

But I didn't go home empty handed.  I did get Hayley Atwell, Frank Grillo, and Sebastian Stan from the movie; and I got a few of the guests including many of the cast of Agents of SHIELD.  Here's my pics of premiere:

Mr. Peabody & Sherman Premiere Autographs Photos

Here's my pics from the Mr. Peabody & Sherman premiere.  Everyone at the premiere was nice and took some time out to sign for the fans.  My cast piece 11x14 got 10 people on it and everybody signed in a flowing blue or black sharpie and no one really signed on top of each other.  This is a rare feat.  Dead sharpies are my nemesis, and seem to be handed out by so many newbies coming to their first premiere.  Silver sharpies are the worst, followed closely in second worst by gold sharpies.  Silvers and Golds need to be broken in (write with them on some paper or cardboard to get the tip flowing) and no one seems to do this; and they are only good for about a week before they dry up and should be thrown out (but other people seem to be hellbent on keeping their sharpies for years).   Anyways, enough of my dead sharpie rant.  Here are my pics from the premiere:

Kit Harington! Jon Snow from Game of Thrones! Autographs! Photos!

My final blog post in my Game of Thrones cast series will be about Kit Harington.  Jon Snow. You know nothing Jon Snow.  I've gotten Kit many times in the last few years.  He has always been pretty nice to fans and good about signing.  I have his autograph on a ton of Game of Thrones images so when he was out promoting Pompeii, I decided a Pompeii poster would be a cool thing to get him on.   Kit stayed true to form and was really nice to all the fans and came over and signed a good amount.

Jason Momoa! Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones! Autographs! Photos!

Continuing on my Game of Thrones theme this week, Jason Momoa was out recently in Los Angeles and was nice enough to stop and sign some autographs for the fans.  Some actors are surprisingly smaller than they appear on screen when you meet them in person (Vin Diesel, Tom Cruise, etc), but Jason Momoa is not one of them.  The dude is a giant.   I remember the first time I met him back in 2011, he got out of a car to sign and when he stood up the handful of graphers there all were a bit intimidated to ask him to sign multiples.  But Jason is actually really nice in person and he's always cool to fans.

Sophie Turner! Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones! Autographs! Photos!

Since the Game of Thrones season 4 premiere is in a couple weeks on April 6th, I figured I would continue on the Game of Thrones blog post theme.  Sophie Turner plays Sansa Stark, a character that seems to have taken the most abuse in the show.  I'm holding out hope that Sansa will have the last laugh in the end, but the first three episodes have been pretty rough.  Sophie Turner, unlike her character on the show, is a bundle of happy energy and joy.   She was out in LA recently and signed my four photos.  I'm cheering for you Sansa, kill King Joffrey.

Lena Headey! Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones! Autographs! Photos!

Winter is coming.  I will be honest, I'm still on the fence about whether or not I like Game of Thrones.  I wish they would stop following 20 different plot lines and instead condense to just handful of central characters and delve into their stories in greater detail.  But hey . . . I will admit Game of Thrones is certainly different than any other show on TV.  So I still watch it every week.

And recently Cersei Lannister aka Lena Headey was out in Hollywood.  She's not a name you see often, with Game of Thrones filming across the globe and all.  So I tried to seize the opportunity of her being in LA, and went with a  wide variety of shots of Lena: some Game of Thrones, some 300, some photoshoot, and both 11x14s and one 8x10.  She signed a ton, so every photo I had got signed.
