The Walking Dead Season 4 Premiere

The Walking Dead!!!! Season 4 episode 1 aired last night on AMC and I was at the premiere last week meeting the cast and getting some autographs.   It was a pretty great day.  All of the main cast is super fan friendly, so I was able to get most of them on my cast pieces I was working on.  A few of the main cast did not show up to the premiere (Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, David Morrissey), but everyone else who showed spent a lot of time with fans and signed a lot.   I don't feel like recapping every autograph I got, so I'm just going to show all the pics I took of The Walking Dead cast signing for the fans.  Here they are:

Machete Kills Premiere: Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, & Robert Rodriguez!

I graphed the Machete Kills premiere last week and I did about as well as I expected.  Most of the celebrities in the movie were not scheduled to attend.  So I was really just going to try to complete some Rodriguez Trejo combos and maybe, just maybe, get a Mel Gibson.  I've never gotten him.

Well Robert Rodriguez was the first to show and sign.  Robert is next level nice, and if I would see him more in the year he could easily make my best signers list.  At one point late in the night I realized that I had one 8x10 left unsigned and I went up to ask Robert.  The security usher near Robert decided to take it upon himself to not let me ask for an autograph and shoved his hands in my face and said "He's not signing!"  I didn't feel like arguing so I said "ok man no problem" and walked away.   Well I went and stood about 20 feet away with my back turned and suddenly heard "Hey man" from behind me.  I turned around and Robert was walking over to me and said with a smile "You want me to sign something?"  As I said he is ridiculously nice.  He signed my last photo and I thanked him and told him how much I loved Desperado.

Next was Danny Trejo and he didn't sign as much as Robert, but Danny is pretty damn cool with fans.  I got him on my 27x40 of Machete and three 11x14s of Machete Kills.  I had put Robert on all four of the items, so I was glad to complete the four combos.

Next was Mel Gibson.  Long story short: I did not get him.  He came over.  He started about ten people to my right.  Then he headed in the opposite direction.  So alas, I still have never gotten Mel Gibson's autograph.  Maybe next time.

Later in the night I also got Alexa Vega on my one 11x14, so all in all a decent premiere.

Andrew Lincoln: Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead! Autographs! Photos!

I was feeling some serious Breaking Bad withdrawal this last Sunday.   My favorite show is done.  It is no more.  A sad day indeed.  But luckily AMC will be starting up The Walking Dead on October 13th, so I can drown my Heisenberg sorrows with some zombies on the rocks with a Rick & Daryl chaser.

Speaking of Rick Grimes I went for Andrew Lincoln recently and got a few photos signed.  Andrew is really ridiculously nice, and has stayed the same throughout the years.   The fans seem to be increasing exponentially, but Andrew still does his best to satisfy everyone with a big smile on his face.

Hugh Jackman The Wolverine Autograph Photos

I recently went out for Hugh Jackman and was able to get his autograph on a Wolverine photo.  He was kind of in a hurry so he didn't sign a ton, but I was happy to walk away with one.  Hugh was all smiles & waves and seemed to really enjoy hamming it up in front of the fans.

Charlie Hunnam: Christian Grey from 50 Shades of Grey

I have been collecting Charlie Hunnam autographs for years.  First I was getting him on Green Street Hooligans, next I got him on Sons of Anarchy, and this year I got him on Pacific Rim.  Well Charlie has landed his most talked about role yet . . . Christian Grey in the movie version of the popular books 50 Shades of Grey.  I doubt the movie will be my cup of tea, but I will probably still check it out when it is in theaters to support Charlie.

Well recently I had a chance to get some more Charlie Hunnam autographs and this time I decided to get him on a few non-SOA images.  Just in case this 50 Shades of Grey movie is huge.  Charlie is one of the nicest actors in Hollywood and is great about signing for fans.  He signed a bunch of photos for me and a few toys I had too.
