Talk about an Oscar snub, I will never understand how Ben Affleck didn't get nominated by the Academy for Best Director. He will have to settle for Best Picture (which I think Argo is a lock to win). Well I went out to get some autographs from Ben this week and he was really good about signing. He signed five 11x14s for me, which I was really happy about since I've seen him probably five times in the last couple months and he had not signed any of those times.

Hansel & Gretel: Autograph Avoiders
Wow. I did not think this was how this night was going to go. Jeremy Renner was the best signer at the Avengers premiere, I thought he was a sure thing, but clearly things have changed. He came to Hansel and Gretel . . . didn't sign on arrivals . . . he didn't sign when he walked past us for the after party . . . he didn't even look like he considered signing. Booo! Same Story with Gemma Arterton, she didn't sign all night. In fact late after the movie there were about twenty people who stuck around to see if Gemma would sign and her publicist said, "no there's too many of you". Gemma even stood waiting for a street light to walk to the after party for about three minutes ignoring the fans instead of just signing for the three minutes. Awful. Just awful. I thought the previews for Hansel Gretel: Witch Hunters looked awful before I went to the premiere but the way the stars of the movie acted cements the fact that I will not watch this movie . . . ever.
Thank goodness for Famke Jenssen who at least signed so I didn't waste my entire day and go home completely empty handed. Famke was nice and signed for about four minutes, and in that four minutes she signed for every fan who was in the fan pit. That's all it would have taken Gemma and Jeremy . . . four freaking minutes of your time.
Here's Gemma walking by us, ignoring us, and not signing:

Marky Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg is a decent signer. He used to be a great signer, but now I am only giving him the title of decent. He made an appearance in Hollywood this week and when he arrived and walked over he said, "Guys I'm only gonna do like one each". Old Mark Wahlberg would never say that. I still managed to get three autographs (two 8x10s and one 11x14) from him by moving around in the crowd though. So I'm not complaining.

Bones: David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel
Bones was having an event this week in Hollywood and I was there getting autographs. I just Emily and David them about ten months ago and got some 11x14s signed so this time I went for variety and decided to work on 8x10s.
David Boreanaz has always been pretty cool in the times I've met him. He's good to the fans and he's a good signer. He showed up to the event and immediately came over to sign and take pictures with the fans and tried his best to make sure he took care of everyone.
Emily Deschanel is also pretty nice. She is not as big on signing as David is, but she is still relatively nice about it. I was able to get her on all three of my 8x10s, I think it helped that David had signed them all first so Emily saw she was completing them.
Here's my completed three 8x10 combo shots:
