The Cabin in the Woods Premiere

There was a small premiere for The Cabin in the Woods on Tuesday and I ended up doing pretty well at it.  I got everyone who showed up including Joss Whedon and Chris Hemsworth the day before the hectic Avengers premiere where I knew it was going to be crazy.

The first to arrive was Tim De Zarn and he some how doesn't have a picture on imdb but I remembered him from Sons of Anarchy and I immediately spotted him when he arrived.  I got him to sign my Cabin in the Woods 11x14 and 12x18 and added him to my Sons of Anarchy cast 11x14.

Damon Lindelof created Lost and we spotted him going into the movie as a spectator.  I always carry Lost cast pieces on me so I quickly pulled them out and added him to both of my photos.

Next was Bradley Whitford, and as soon as I saw him get out of the car I knew it was Eric from Billy Madison.  I added him to both my Cabin cast pieces.
Next was Drew Goddard the director of Cabin in the Woods and Tom Lenk who both signed at the same time.  I added each of them to both my cast pieces.

Jesse Williams came next and I added him to both my cast pieces.

Kristen Connolly came next and signed.  I forgot to take a picture of her signing, but she signed my two cast pieces and also an individual 11x14.
Amy Acker came next and I had her sign both my cast pieces and also an individual 11x14.

Joss Whedon came next and he signed my individual 11x14 of him holding the Captain America shield.
And lastly the God of Thunder . . . Thor himself arrived.  Chris Hemsworth.  He is usually pretty cool about signing and didn't disappoint tonight.  Chris signed two 11x14s for me.

Here are my two Cabin in the Woods cast photos, one is a 11x14 and one is a 12x18.

Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope premiere

The premiere for Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope was this week and I went largely hoping the Joss Whedon or Robert Kirkman would bring out some of their co-workers (Avengers, Firefly, Walking Dead, etc).  It ended up being mostly the people scheduled to be there and no surprises, but I was still happy with what I got.

Holly Conrad was the first to show and I got her to sign my 12x18 poster image.
Morgan Spurlock came next and I added him to my 12x18 poster and also had him signed two 8x10 poster shots.

Chris Bauer arrived next and while many people might recognize him as Sherriff Andy in True Blood, I think of him as Frank Sobotka in The Wire.   I've told Chris how much I like The Wire before and he even said it was his favorite show too.  Today I had two 11x14 from the Wire along and when Chris saw them he showed them off to his friends and even asked me if I could get him a copy of one of the images.  I told him I'd get him one the next time I see him.  Between the way in and out he signed both my Wire 11x14s, my True Blood cast 11x14, and my True Blood cast 8x10.

Clark Gregg came next and I had him sign an Avengers 11x14 photo.

Joe Manganiello arrived and I got him on an individual 8x10 and a cast 11x14.

Stan Lee showed up and signed but came to one spot (not near me) and basically did not move.  Which I was a little heart broken about because this guy is a living legend to me.  I grew up on Marvel comics and any Stan Lee autograph I get is precious.  I was able to get one today, and it immediately went home and went in a frame on the wall.
After the movie Robert Kirkman came out and signed anything we had, but would not sketch.  I don't blame him for not sketching anymore, because if you do one then everybody wants one and he could be there for hours.   He signed two cast 11x14 that Jon Bernthal signed for me about a week ago, and signed all my seven of my cast 8x10s that Bernthal had also signed.

The Silver Surfer Doug Jones came out and I didn't have any photos along so I had him sign a dollar bill for me.

Lastly Joss Whedon came out and signed.  I wasn't able to get a picture of him signing but I did get three 11x14 photos signed: two Avengers and one Serenity. Joss is not big on signing so I was pretty happy to get him now before the Avengers premiere where it might be so crazy he won't sign.
Pretty much everyone who showed up signed and while I would have liked a few more Stan Lee's for my collection, I'm still happy with what I got.

Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) signing autographs

I went into Hollywood to graph Lena Headey on Thursday because I like Game of Thrones and I knew Lena was nice and would most likely sign.  Final Four M.O.P. Anthony Davis was also supposed to be there, so I was also hoping he might sign.

Lena ended up signing and was really nice.  She basically signed everything we had, took pictures with anyone who asked, and was great about interacting with all the fans.  I had five 11x14s along and she signed four of the five (she didn't sign one because she didn't like the image, her exact words were, "Ew not that one, I look weird").  The funny thing is the image was a Game of Thrones image.   I'm used to female celebrities telling me they don't want to sign a particular image because it's too sexy.   But Lena was really polite about it and I didn't care that she didn't want to sign the photo, I'll just remember to not ask her to sign it next time I see her.

Here is the photo that Lena did NOT want to sign so if you're a grapher do not print it.  UPDATE: I had a reader point out that this is a photoshopped image of Scarlett Johansson from Other Boleyn Sister that someone put Lena's face on.  Now that I look at it I can see it clear as day.  I'm almost glad she didn't sign it now.
I also took some video:

Anthony Davis was having NO part of signing.  He ignored us on the way in.  He ignored us on the way out.  You might be the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four, but you are not the most outstanding signer.

Ellen Pompeo, Kadee Strickland, Tony Goldwyn, and Kerry Washington

I graphed an event of Monday with some of the cast members from Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and Scandal expected to attend.  A few celebs blew us off, a few signed, and the night went basically as well as expected.

The first person to arrive was Sanda Oh, and oh does Sandra not like to sign autographs.  I've seen her three times the last six months and never gotten her autograph.  At least she's consistent, because she did not sign again tonight.

Next was Kerry Washington and Kerry used to be really really tough if not impossible to get an autograph from, but I saw her a few months back and she signed so I was hopeful for tonight.  She got out of her towncar and starting walking our way to sign (Joy!), then she gets to my photo . . . the only photo I had along of her . . . looks at it and says "Oh I can't sign that one, that's too revealing" (Rejected!).   She didn't sign it even after I asked her to personalize it to me.  Bummer.  I did at least grab a buddy's more tame photo and she signed that one (I gave him back the photo though).  Here's the photo Kerry would NOT sign for anyone thinking of asking her:

Next to arrive was Tony Goldwyn and he was really cool.  He came over took my buddies pen and just signed anything that was put in front of him.  He didn't seem to care how many you had, he was just going to sign everything.  I had one 11x14 of The Last Samurai along and when I got that signed I helped my buddy get an 11x14 signed as well.

Ellen Pompeo arrived next and was a total sweetheart.  She signed everything we had, talked to the fans, and even thanked some girls who said Grey's is the best part about their Thursday nights.  I had two 11x14s along and she signed them both for me.

Right after Ellen was KaDee Strickland and I had never met her before but I had a good feeling she was going to be nice so I had four 11x14s along.  I'm happy to report she was really nice and signed them all for me.

Taye Diggs also showed up and signed a few autograph. I didn't have anything for him to sign so I just  took a few pictures of him.

So I walked away on the night with seven 11x14s signed.

Sandra Oh and Shonda Rimes were the only two celebs on the DID NOT SIGN LIST.
