Odd Life of Timothy Green Premiere with Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton, and Ron Livingston

I went to The Odd Life of Timothy Green premiere in large part to get Jennifer Garner.  The good news is I got her, but I didn't get much else. 

Joel Edgerton was the first so sign.  I thought Warrior was one of the best movies to come out in 2011, so I had one 11x14 of Joel and Frank Grillo along from Warrior.  I would love to get some Hardy/Edgerton combos dones, but unfortunately Joel's co-star in Warrior Tom Hardy has become next to impossible to get an autograph from so I didn't want the headache of combo shots of the two of them. 

Then Jennifer Garner came and she was really really good about signing.  She by far and away spent the most time signing of anyone in the cast.  I got her on four 11x14s and then had nothing left for her to sign so I took some pictures and video of her.  Next time I'll bring six for her instead of four. 

Lastly Ron Livingston signed for about 30 seconds.  I got him on one 11x14.  Really wish I could've gotten more because Office Space is a classic movie and I had some Office Space images along but Ron didn't sign long enough for me to get them done.

Getting Fastest Man Alive Usain Bolt's Autograph

A few months before I started this blog I was lucky enough to have a chance encounter with Usain Bolt.  Since he just won the men's 100M race today at the London Olympics I figured I would share my story of meeting the Fastest Man Alive.  He showed up unannounced to the Jimmy Kimmel show while I was there waiting for Mark Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane.  I had two 8x10s in the car so I went and got them.  While I was waiting on Mark and Seth I heard that Usain was going to race Jimmy Kimmel on Hollywood blvd, so I ran up there with my 8x10s.  As soon as I got up there I saw they were racing so I took video of it. 

When they were finished I showed Usain my photos and with frosting on his hands he came right over and took my sharpie and signed both photos for me.

And when I got home I watched the Jimmy Kimmel show and saw I made the show and can be seen in the background waving my photos and sharpie at Usain after he finished the race.  

Pretty cool to be on a national TV show with the Fastest Man Alive.

THE WIRE!

Tristan Wilds plays the unforgettable character Mike Lee in The Wire.  But despite the fact that he's on a current show that films in LA (90210), he actually doesn't go out much and is kind of rare to see.  So when I saw that he was supposed to show up a Hennessy launch party I made plans to be there.  He showed up and was greeted my me and my buddy with a stack of Wire photos.  I got him on five 11x14s all from The Wire, and all went immediately into my personal collection portfolio book. 

Olivia Munn was also attending the event and I had a few 8x10s in my car so I brought them too.  As always she was really nice, but tonight she took it to a whole new level.  A friend flew in from Seattle in part to meet her and she wrote him basically a love letter on a 20 inch by 30 inch photo he had brought for her to sign.  She then tweeted him later that night.  I had four 8x10s along and got them signed really easily, then just stood around watching her sign some more.  Congratulations Olivia Munn you not only make it on my top 10 signer list, but you have also captured the top spot for a female over passing Pauley Perrette.  Keep up the good work. 

Total Recall Premiere with Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale, and more

The Total Recall premiere was Wednesday and I was most pumped for Jessica Biel, she didn't attend her last premiere (New Years Eve) in LA and she's a pretty tough graph to get. 

The first to show was Colin Farrell and he was not very cool about signing.  If you are a girl who just wants a photo with him you're in luck.  If you're an autograph collector with something to get signed, chances are he probably skipped over you.  He never got within fifteen feet of my section because he saw it was all autograph people and he specifically avoided us.   

John Cho was the first celebrity I got to sign.  He came right to me and took my sharpie.  At most he signed for about one minute and then was done.  I had one 11x14 along and that was it. 

Bryan Cranston signed and was headed my way and was about ten feet from me on my right, but then Jessica Biel dropped.   She saw Cranston was signing and came right over to do the same. Luckily because Cranston was filtering her near me, Jessica started signing just four people down from me.  I was able to get three 11x14s signed by her, but as she was signing for us Bryan skipped over our section.  But I'm ok with that because Biel is rare and even though I love Cranston as an actor (and need him on a ton of stuff) I've seen him many times in the last year.   Conversely, it may be years before I get Jessica again. 

Kate Beckinsale was next and she is always really nice.  Her people were trying to limit you to one each, but I managed to get two 11x14s signed.
